Back to Reality
I've been writing to fictional characters for a few months now. I just want to take one day off from the fictional world and express my gratitude for everything in my real world. There's so much to be grateful for... especially the events in my life that may appear as challenges.
Without an active appreciation of that which life gives us, nothing can enrich, nourish or feed the human soul. Gratitude is not an inert obligation predicated upon convention, or morality. It is an active expression of reciprocal benefit.. in being grateful, we are expanded beyond the quotidian and learn to value what would would otherwise be valueless. Being grateful is a dynamic act and one which replenishes the spirit vivifying it and serving to help us remain free from despair.
