Luis von Ahn

Dear Luis: You've been on my mind... We've never met in life or online, but I use your app every day. Thanks for creating Duolingo. I've learned a dozen languages throughout my life because I've traveled a lot, but I've forgotten many of these languages because I haven't used them. What you have created allows me to revisit any language I want, any day, from home. Thank you for your time and effort. Thank you for allowing users to learn languages for free. I am so grateful for you and for Duolingo. Gratefully... Noosha Ravaghi

Philip Anderson

Dear Philip: You've been on my mind... We met in the writing community on Twitter three years ago. Although we've never met in person, I feel I know you because of your writing. I've been reading and reflecting on your thought-provoking articles the last two years.  Thank you for sharing your thoughts as you go through the challenges of your disease. I'm grateful for you, for your positive attitude, for doing the best you can, and for your wise words. Thank you for being you. Love... Noosha Ravaghi

Nan Kuhlman

Dear Nan: You've been on my mind... We met online two years ago when you sent me a link to a podcast in response to my tweet. Thank you for being thoughtful and sharing a useful talk with me. Your act of kindness made me curious about the book you'd written, so I bought it, read it, and enjoyed the wonderful collection of lessons on perspective and privilege.  Thank you for your support the last couple years. Thank you for your thought-provoking blog posts. I always enjoy reading them.  Thank you for being you. I'm grateful to have met you.  Love... Noosha Ravaghi

Amanda Smith

Dear Amanda: You've been on my mind... We've never met in person even though we may not be too far apart, geographically. We've only spoken on the phone and communicated by email. You helped me get an appointment when I urgently needed it, and for that, I thank you. I appreciate your efforts toward making that happen. I appreciate your keeping your word; that is so rare these days.  When I contacted your office many days later, you remembered me as soon as I introduced myself. I was so grateful for that, for feeling I'm more than just a number in your files. Thank you for caring. Thank you for doing your job so well; that is so rare these days. Thank you for being you. Grateful... Noosha Ravaghi
